
Carry the Cure's Committed to Life Program will be at Yakutat School on Wednesday, April 30th at 2:00pm. That same evening at 7pm, Native American band, Broken Walls will have a concert for the community. Everyone is invited!
The day assembly is brought to you through Carry the Cure and FSCS. The evening event is sponsored by Lakeside Chapel.

The next Parent Advisory Committee meeting is set for April 23rd at 7pm. Hope to see you there! We've shortened the monthly meeting to 40 minutes. The first thirty minutes will be the agenda, and the last ten minutes will be wrap up discussion. The monthly meeting dates have been set for the rest of the year.

Broken Walls is coming to Yakutat to perform on April 30th!!


TONIGHT!!! Attention parents of students in grades K-5!! An invitation was mailed home, and each student was handed an invitation on Monday for a Family Night Event, set for Friday, April 11th from 6:00-8:00pm. There is an RSVP due today if you would like to attend.
We will be serving chili and corn bread for dinner. There will be door prizes! Each participant will go home with a stuffed animal and Howling with Huskies book. It is not the typical game night, but there will be fun activities for the students and families as we learn how to help kids cope with big feelings! What a week! This week the jr/sr high students participated in the 3rd ever Hamburglar Competition. Students were broken into groups for the preliminary competition, those moving on to the final were Dyson, Kylie, Greg, and Lainayah (runners up were Nikki, JJ, Tyler, and Chris). Today the four finalists had a pork burger battle and Lainayah came out the overall winner of the competition. ALL of the students did a great job and had a lot of fun. Thank you to all of the amazing volunteers who helped judge the five days: Jeff Swartling, Chris Cook, Glenn Israelson, Reanna Brown, Cherise Schmidt, Cynthia Petersen, Justyne Ross, Tabatha Sandell, Reine Pavlik, Stacy Halvorsen, Cindy Bremner, and Steve and Jennethan Kaufman.
